Visiting Nurse Association Health Group has long-standing partnerships with public schools throughout Monmouth County to boost the health of their students. Our range of programs brings registered nurses and other clinicians to educational settings to work with both school administration, faculty and parents. It takes a villiage to raise healthy children and VNA Health Group is proud to contribute our health expertise and resources to the communities where we work and live.
VNA’s School Family Partnership Brings Family Health to the Classroom
The School –Based Youth Service Program (SPOT) is the school-family partnership of the Visiting Nurse Association Health Group. This program aims to help high school students navigate their adolescent years while promoting overall health and employment preparation. The program is located in Asbury Park High School.
The free services provided under this program include mental health counseling, employment counseling, substance abuse education and prevention, learning support services,access to primary and preventative health services, family involvement, recreation, and referrals to community-based services. With a parent’s consent, the student can participate in the program.
