Visiting Nurse Association Health Group Power of the Purse Fundraiser to Benefit Programs and Services for Children

The Children's Auxiliary of Visiting Nurse Association Health Group (VNAHG) presents "The Power of the Purse," a Ladies Night Out and Purse Auction. The event will be held Thursday, April 26, 2012 at 6:30 pm at David Burke Fromagerie in Rumson, New Jersey. Tickets for the event are $100 and include hor d'oeurves, buffet, and cocktails. The evening includes a silent and chance auction of beautiful purses and bags from high-end designers including MZ Wallace, Coach, Marc Jacobs, Cole Hann, Loro Piana, Kate Spade Tory Burch, and more. Proceeds from the evening will benefit VNA Health Group programs and services for children, helping to ensure that access to community-based care is a reality to families in need and providing care to children who are acutely and chronically ill, have developmental concerns and special needs as well parenting education and support to first-time, at-risk expectant mothers.
"This is a casual, fun-filled evening for a great cause," said Niki Sourlis, chairman of the VNA Health Group Children's Auxiliary. "The purses donated for this event are really spectacular and everyone has a great time, but in the end, it's all about helping our children."
Dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of children and families through clinical solutions at home and in the community, VNA Health Group services for children include pediatric home health care, infusion therapy, parenting education, Special Child Health Services and Early Intervention programs, Women, Infants and Children (WIC) supplemental nutrition program, home visitation programs including Nurse Family Partnership and Healthy Families, prenatal and postpartum care, school-based services, primary care including immunizations as well as hospice care for children and group counseling for children who have lost a loved one.
